PCEA Tumutumu Hospital is located in Mt. Kenya region, Nyeri County, 5km from Karatina town and 1 kilometer off the Nyeri-Karatina Highway. We are a prominent healthcare establishment devoted to providing excellent curative services to the local community and beyond. It was established by the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) and has been serving patients since 1909 with a commitment to excellence towards healthcare provision and with emphasis on holistic healing.

PCEA Tumutumu hospital was started in 1909 by the Church of Scotland and handed over to the Presbyterian Church of East Africa in 1956. It is located The hospital is located in the Central Highlands of Kenya between the Aberdares Range and Mount Kenya 130 Km (80 Miles) North of Nairobi at altitude of 5,900ft. The hospital has 203 beds and provides holistic health care. Though located in a Kikuyu-speaking area, the language of work is English and Swahili since not all staff members are Kikuyu, and from time to time, it receives visitors from overseas.
