Specialist Clinics

Outpatient Department in Tumutumu offers comprehensive care and treatment to patients. These includes: 24 hours services coverage.

Consultants clinics include:-

MONDAYS

General follow up Clinic for discharged patient and other patient referred to Senior Medical Officer.

TUESDAYS

Gynecology/Obstetric Clinic - This is done by Senior Medical Officers headed by a Consultant Gynecologist.

Orthopedic Clinic - Done by Senior Medical Officers and headed by Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon.

Pediatric Clinic - Done by Senior Medical Officers.

WEDNESDAYS

Diabetic Clinic - Done by Senior Medical Officers trained in Diabetic Management.

THURSDAYS

Surgical Outpatient Clinic - This clinic is run by our Senior Medical Officer and team headed by Consultant Surgeon who handles all cases of previous and pending surgeries. 

FRIDAYS

Physician Clinic - This is done by Senior Medical Officer headed by a Consultant Physician.

Family Planning (FP)/ Mother and Child Health (MCH) Clinic - Services offered are:-

1.    Antenatal and Post-natal care

2.    Family Planning

3.    General Counseling

4.    PMTCT

5.    Weighing/growth monitoring

6.    Immunization

7.    Screening for Pap smears (to detect cancer of cervix)

The Department of Pharmacy's mission is to provide high quality pharmaceutical care to our patients in an atmosphere of educational growth, shared respect, and communication. The Department of Pharmacy provides integrated, cost-effective pharmaceutical services to

P.C.E.A Tumutumu Hospital. These patient-focused services include medication delivery, therapeutic recommendations, and promotion of optimal drug therapy.

The P.C.E.A Tumutumu Hospital has a fully stocked pharmacy that operates on a 24-hour basis, serving not only patients seen at our Casualty, but also those who have prescriptions from other facilities. Our pharmacists are also able to adequately advise you on your prescriptions. The Pharmacy directorate takes an active role in ensuring that the Trust complies with national legislation, standards and guidance on medicines, cost effective prescribing and infection control.

 

Laboratory

The P.C.E.A Tumutumu Hospital laboratory is open 24x7 to deliver accurate and timely analysis for everything from basic blood tests to complex pathologic studies.

Our highly qualified team uses the most sophisticated lab analytics to help diagnose and treat diseases. We work closely with clinicians to ensure you get the best care possible.

The P.C.E.A Tumutumu hospital laboratory department has several sub-specialities and is qualified to run a range of tests within these sections:

• Microbiology/parasitology
• Histopathology/cytology
• Haematology and blood transfusion services
• Clinical chemistry and immunology

The laboratory has well established external and internal quality assessment programs and is registered with the National Laboratory Regulatory Body. This ensures the quality of the results of tests carried out.
Laboratory offers services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
